Become the man you said you'd be.

You already know what you should be doing. That is the annoying part. I spent 11 years as a Coast Guard rescue swimmer learning what actually holds up under pressure and what is just noise. No hustle culture. No fake motivation. Just what works.

Becoming a rescue swimmer, and staying one, demanded I become a certain type of man.

These three things are how I did it.

Purpose. Peace. Grit.

PURPOSE

For when you are a little lost. Maybe you had a career that meant something and now you don't. Maybe life changed and you miss the old one. Motivation is cheap fuel that runs out. Purpose is what is still burning when it does.

PEACE

A way to live happier and steadier, without pretending you have arrived. Most people sell you one side. Grind harder, or you are already enough so change nothing. Both are incomplete. You can want more and still appreciate what you have right now. That is not a contradiction. That is just being an adult about it.

GRIT

Discipline and follow-through, minus the hustle culture. Not grinding yourself into the ground, and not yelling at yourself in the mirror at 5am. It is refusing to let the weakest version of you make decisions for the strongest version of your life. Do that enough times and you become a man of your word. That is the part that actually changes things.

I'm Bankz.

For 11 years I was a Coast Guard helicopter rescue swimmer. That job taught me a lot about fear, pressure, and doing hard things when you don't feel like it. When I left, I had to build something new. That part didn't come with a training pipeline.

Now I'm just a guy trying to think a little clearer and live a little better. I share what works, what doesn't, and what I'm still figuring out.

I'm not a therapist and won't pretend to be. Think of me as the blunt friend who actually wants what's best for you, because I do.

If you want someone screaming at you to wake up at 5am, wrong guy. If you want to hear you're perfect and should change nothing, also wrong guy. This lives in the middle. Short, honest conversations. Tools that held up when it counted.
